The working microphone array is selected, and in Windows Microphone Privacy Settings all the apps are allowed, and when they are running it even shows that the app is currently using the microphone.
In the Windows Sound settings, the internal microphone, "Microphone array (Intel Smart Sound Technology)", is detected and works (records sound, when I speak, the slider moves), but in any other program or app (google chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Windows Voice Recorder, etc.) no sound is recorded. I do have some additional information though. This seems to be a copy of this issue, and I have tried everything suggested there without success. This stopped working just on August 3rd, but it was working up until that point.
